THE Santa Claus pancake are a very nice idea to serve a different breakfast than usual during the party period, maybe, why not, just on Christmas morning;) The procedure is very simple and once the pancakes are ready you can have fun decorating them with the little ones of the house . The result will be great pancakes served in a fairly healthy way with lots of fresh fruit! If you want you can also omit the cream (or replace it with Greek yogurt beaten with a little sugar), but if you do not make some mistakes during the holidays, when? : P
With this recipe to do on the fly for breakfast I wish you a very sweet and peaceful Christmas: *
How to make Santa Claus pancakes
Whip the egg with the sugar, then add honey, flour, yeast and salt, finally add milk and oil and work with a whisk.
You will need to get a smooth and thick batter, without lumps.
Cover the bowl with cling film and let it sit for 30 minutes.
Heat a non-stick pan and start cooking the pancakes, a couple of tablespoons at a time, spreading the batter lightly with the back of the spoon if necessary.
Cook over medium-low heat until the batter begins to bubble on the surface, then gently flip the pancake with a spatula.
Continue like this with the other pancakes until you have finished the dough.
As they are ready, stack the pancakes on a plate.
Now divide the pancakes 1 per plate and start decorating.
Cut the bananas into slices and place them in a cone shape, slightly overlapping the pancake, to simulate Santa's beard.
With the raspberries, create a cone on the opposite side of the beard to create the hat.
With another raspberry and a couple of chocolate chips create eyes and nose.
Whip the cold cream from the fridge and add it on the beard, to make it soft and fluffy, and on top of the hat to create the pompom.
The Santa Claus pancakes are ready, you just have to serve them right away!
