Churros are fried sweets typical of the Spanish tradition, they are star-shaped batter sticks served alone simply sprinkled with sugar or to accompany hot chocolate. Finding a reliable recipe to prepare churros was very difficult, in books and on the internet everyone says a different thing, there are those who prepare pasta without eggs, those who add milk, those who only add sugar and those who add cinnamon. I tried to make an average between the various recipes and this is the delicious result, in my office, they went like hot cakes. So I leave you to the recipe and we will read later: *


How to make churros

In a thick-bottomed saucepan, bring the water, butter and salt to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the flour all at once.

Stir with a wooden spoon until a homogeneous mixture is created. Put it back on the heat and continue stirring until the mixture comes off the walls.

Remove from the heat, let the mixture cool for a few minutes, then add the eggs one at a time, incorporating each egg well before adding the next.

Keep stirring until the pasta becomes full-bodied

Put the mixture obtained in a pastry bag with a star spout, then create with the syringe some 15 cm long pasta sticks that you will drop directly into a saucepan with boiling oil.

fry the churros a couple at a time until golden brown

gradually lift the churros with a slotted spoon then put them on kitchen paper.

Transfer the churros to a serving dish and sprinkle them with sugar and cinnamon, stirring to make the sugar adhere all over their surface.
Serve alone or better yet, with hot chocolate.
