Guguluf with cocoa and cherries

The cherries in the freezer are left to thaw in a sieve.

Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt until they harden.

Gradually add the sugar and continue mixing until it hardens.

Add the vanilla sugar and gradually the oil and mix well.

Add flour mixed with baking powder and mix with a spatula until smooth.

Put half of the composition in a bowl and mix with cocoa with a spatula until smooth.

Guguluf form is greased with butter and covered with flour.

In the shape of a guguluf, put the composition with cocoa and sprinkle cherries.

Pour the white composition and sprinkle the cherries.

Put it in the preheated oven at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes until it is done and browned a little on top.

The toothpick test is done.

Leave to cool for 10-15 minutes, remove from the pan and allow to cool completely.

It can be decorated as desired with various glazes, whipped cream, shower ....

I sprinkled a little powdered sugar.

Cut and serve!

Cake with poppy seeds, cherries and red currants

Simple, fast and tasty! Cherries, currants, dark chocolate, a delight. And let me tell you a secret, it has no sugar. So, if you like it and you have red fruits or otherwise put in the freezer, you can include them in a good cake.

Preparation time: 60 minutes
Nr. servings: 20-25 pcs

for a large tray (35 x 25 cm)

  • 8 tare eggs
  • 6 tablespoons natural sweetener Green Sugar (or sugar)
  • 6 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 1/2 sachet baked powder
  • 400 gr fruit (cherries, blackcurrants, other fruits)
  • 200 gr dark chocolate
  • 1 small cup of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt

Keep the ingredients for 2 hours at room temperature.

We are preparing a tray with baking paper. We turn on the oven.

Spalam ouale. Separate the yolks from the whites. In a bowl, using a mixer or whisk, whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt. When the foam becomes firm, add the sweetener and continue mixing. Add the yolks, one by one, continue mixing.

Mix flour with cocoa and baking powder and add to the egg mixture. Sprinkle the poppy seeds and mix lightly with a spatula until the composition is homogeneous. Pour into the pan, level lightly.

We roll the fruits a little in flour and sweetener and then we shake them and place them over the composition.

Bake everything in the preheated oven over medium heat for about 40 minutes.

After 40 minutes, open the oven, insert a toothpick in the middle of the countertop. If it comes out clean, it means that the top is baked and we can take it out of the oven. If it doesn't come out clean, let the countertop bake for another 5-10 minutes. Remove from the oven, let it cool a bit, then remove the top, open the baking paper and let it cool completely on a grill.

Melt the chocolate together with the milk, on a steam bath, mix until it becomes homogeneous and glaze the cooled cake. Let cool until ready to serve. Portion with a sharp knife.

Daily recipes

25g butter / margarine
200ml milk
4-5 tablespoons cocoa
200g old
4 eggs
a pinch of salt
200g flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
a handful of sour cherries or compote
a handful of ground walnut kernels

1 sachet of vanilla sugar
powdered sugar for powder

In a kettle we put on the fire the sugar, the milk, the cocoa, the butter until it boils, then we put it aside, we add the rum essence and the vanilla sugar and we let it cool, stirring from time to time.
While the syrup in the kettle cools, separate the eggs, mix the yolks well, and over, pour the cooled syrup, flour mixed with baking soda, ground walnut kernels and sour cherries. Mix all the ingredients well and at the end add the egg whites that we beat with a pinch of salt, lightly homogenizing with a spatula from top to bottom.
Pour the resulting composition into a guguluf shape that we grease with a little oil and put it in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes or most certainly we do the toothpick test.
In the end, when we take it out, we powder it with powdered sugar and we can serve it with pleasure!

You can put jam / jam in the cake
