- 1 vanilla pod
- 8 yolks
- 250 gr. Sugar
- 80 gr. flour

to Decorate
- 120 gr. Pine nuts
- Powdered sugar to taste

HOW TO PREPARE Grandmother's Cake
  1. Make the shortcrust pastry with the doses indicated above.
  2. Form a loaf with the shortcrust pastry and leave it in the refrigerator for an hour.
  3. Make the Custard always according to the doses indicated above.
  4. Leave the Cream to rest in the fridge.
  5. Get the shortcrust pastry and divide it into two parts, one of which must be larger (about 2/3).
  6. Roll out the partbigger.
  7. Line a baking sheet 24 cm greased and floured with the shortcrust pastry dough until the sides are covered.
  8. Prick the shortcrust pastry placed on the pan with a fork.
  9. Pour in the custard starting from the center.
  10. Roll out the other part of shortcrust pastry and forms a circle as large as the cake pan.
